Women in Lesotho: Overcoming Socioeconomic Barriers
Abstract
This study aims to tackle the social and economic challenges that women encounter in Lesotho.
To address the problems, the study gives data from several credible sources. On this premise, the
author suggests that the government of Lesotho should close the gaps in the economy and restore
some of the concepts and structures that help women be empowered, as well as reconsider its
approach and put resources at the disposal of women, in particular, in order to achieve equality
and equity. Women's empowerment, while a reality, will not rise above average unless such
challenges are addressed.
