About the Journal:
The Spicerian, published bi-annually, is a university magazine that aims to connect everyone who is proud of being a Spicerian in their lifetime. The magazine aims to deal with articles, information, updates, news, upcoming events and cover anything related to higher education. The magazine spotlights contemporary discussions, trends, issues, policies, and practices. Its goal is to inspire and enlighten thoughtful practitioners in colleges, universities, foundations, government, and other settings. Faculty, administrators, trustees, state and federal officials, accreditors, foundation executives, and students are among the people who read it.

Policy Details
Review Policy:
All submissions to TheSpicerian are initially checked for plagiarism, and verified before sending forward to be evaluated by an editor to decide if they are acceptable for peer review. When an editor approves a manuscript for publication, it is sent to two subject experts for review. Since each article is assigned a code name and the author's full identity is deleted from the manuscript, each review is fully anonymous.
Ethic Policy:
WHO CAN SUBMIT?
Anyone who is a registered student, a faculty or staff in any department at Spicer Adventist University is eligible to submit their manuscript, as long as it is an original work and clears peer review protocols. Authors are the initial owners and hold the copyright of the published article. Non-Spicerian and alumni can publish their articles in TheSpicerian once it completes peer review protocols proceeded with an approval to publish.
TheSpicerian welcomes authors from around the globe to experience the multi-disciplinary experience. Although new, the journal endeavors to excel in academic publications and establishes itself as a breakthrough in south-Asian academia.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
TheSpicerian accepts articles written in the academic language of English. American spelling and punctuation will be used for editing. Authors are expected to use gender-inclusive languages only. Please refer to the SAU Handbook for Research and Writing.
SUBMISSION RULES
The submitted articles must not have been published elsewhere previously or intended to be published in the future in a journal or book (printed or electronic). Once the author submits the paper to TheSpicerian, the author declares that the manuscript is not under review at any other journal (print or electronic). In case, an author submits to another journal while the same manuscript is under-review for TheSpicerian, the manuscript will be rejected and the author will be blacklisted due to unethical practices.
